        Moscow Experimental School for Further Qualification in Sailing Sports (Moscow Sailing School) was visited by Moscow Government delegation together with Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov and the President of International Olympic Committee Mr. Jaques Rogge.
        Moscow' yachtsmen welcomed with great pride Vice Moscow Mayor - Valeriy Shanzev, Vice Prime Minister of Russia - Valentina Matvienko, General Secretary of Russian State Sport Committee – Vyacheslav Fetisov, President of Russian Olympic Committee – Leonid Tyagachiov, Vice President of Russian Olympic Committee – Vitaliy Smirnov, Russian Olympic Committee Officer – Shamil' Tarpishev, General Secretary of Moscow Sport Committee – Sergey Korol' and President of Moscow Sailing Federation – Igor Chenzov.
        The visit started from “Salt and Bread” Welcome, accompanied by Cossack's toast singing.
        Moscow Mayor pleasured surprised to look at Cruiser Yacht named after Moscow launching.
        The guests were invited to the excellent 47-feet yacht assigned by its Captain Michil Zhiglovsky for Moscow Region Water Area sightseeing cruise. The cruise followed to the Pestovo Storage Pond, that is located 20 kms to the North of the Channel named after Moscow. Moscow Mayor with great interest showed Mr. Rogge different sights and features of Moscow Water Area. Mr. President was unconceally surprised to find all the necessary facilities for running and organizing International Regattas. He also paid attention to the active sailing life at Klyazma and Pestovo Water Areas, where Russian and Moscow Sailing competitions with great number of participants were going on.
        On coming back to Moscow Sailing School, the guests were greeted by yachtsmen, accompanied with resounding drum beats of Slovenian Ensemble and his soloist Peter Kirpita.
        Inauguration of the Memorial Stone in Honor of the 65th Anniversary of Moscow Sailing Sports became a momentous event for everyone.
        Warm wishes from Moscow Mayor and Mr. President of the International Committee will stay for long in boys and girls memories, who didn't believe their eyes it was really going on.
        Jaques Rogge presented his own Olympic Badge to the first Soviet Olympic Champion in year 1960, Timur Penegin, and said that it was a dream come true for him to meet a man, whose name became a legend in Sailing and whom he admired himself.
        At the end of the ceremony Mr. Jaques Rogge, Yury Luzhkov and Valentina Matvienko were presented with symbolic “Finn” Sails with cherishing hopes that Moscow will welcome World “Finn” Class Championship in year 2005.
        The guests welcomed this idea with great enthusiasm and left their signatures, stating the intention to organize such event in year 2005.
        Now and on this Sail will become an orientation point for the lives of Moscow yachtsmen, who will always express their sincere heart gratitude to Government Leaders for this historic visit.
